Hot Coals Fire Texture

Young children are one of the leading vulnerable groups to heat-related injury, especially during the summer months of Western Australia. To learn more about this and what we can do to help minimise the risk, join Injury Matters where we will hear from KidSafe WA and the Department of Fire and Emergency Services and discuss the risk mitigation strategies to heat injury in young children and the work they do.

Register here.

Learning outcomes:

  • Increased knowledge of risk factors causing heat injury among young children
  • Increased awareness of injury prevention strategies when working with young children during the summer months
  • Increased knowledge of the effects of heat injury among young children
  • Increased confidence in identifying heat injury risk factors among vulnerable populations
