The invited speakers who will provide their perspectives on the future are:

• Dr. Denise Sullivan, Director of Chronic Disease Prevention at the Department of Health WA:  Leads the development of state chronic disease and injury prevention policy and planning frameworks and contributes to the shaping of the national preventive health policy agenda.
• Associate Professor Debbie Scott, AIPN President: Strategic Lead of The National Addiction and Mental Health Surveillance Unit at Turning Point. Debbie’s research interests focus on the use of surveillance systems and data to improve the understanding of and interventions for harms associated with alcohol and drugs – particularly those associated with intentional injury (suicide and self-harm, family violence, child maltreatment).
• Professor Stuart Newstead, Professor and Director of Monash University Accident Research Centre: leads the Centre’s Injury Analysis and Data Team. Dr Newstead’s areas of significant topic-based expertise include a range of safety issues with a particular focus on safety program evaluation, vehicle safety evaluation monitoring and policy setting, police enforcement programs, vulnerable and high-risk road user safety, injury data systems design and analysis, and injury outcome metrics.
• Justin Scarr, Chief Executive Officer at Royal Life Saving Australia: Leads a cross-functional management team covering education and training, research and health promotion, industry service and risk management, sport development, and marketing and communication.
