This second workshop builds on the foundational knowledge and skills introduced in the first workshop held in November 2024 which covered pre-planning and the development of a health status report.

This next phase will concentrate on the more strategic elements of the Public Health Planning process and will highlight case studies to support the concepts, specifically:

• Establishing Objectives and Policy Priorities – Identifying actionable goals and determining key policy areas to address local health needs.
• Aligning Objectives with Evaluation Planning – Ensuring public health objectives are measurable and linked to meaningful outcomes.
• Identifying Public Health Strategies – Creating targeted interventions to address identified health priorities.
• Identifying Partnerships – Highlighting opportunities for collaboration with stakeholders, including community organisations, health service providers, and state agencies.
• Developing an Action Plan – Drafting clear actions for inclusion in a Public Health Plan.

The workshop is suitable for anyone involved in the development or review of Public Health Plans, including Environmental Health Officers and Community Development Officers.
