WA Country Health Service: SW Public Health Unit

A Public Health role in falls prevention is to communicate to the general public (including older adults, families and caregivers) on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle including education on fall risk factors. Information is communicated on an individual or in a group setting. WACHS-SW also partners with other healthcare and non-government organisations that work with seniors and also community organisations such as recreation to encourage programs that include exercise and fall prevention education.
