Youth Week WA 2025 celebrates the positive contributions of young people within our community and applications are now open for projects that raise issues, ideas and concerns of young people and explore possible solutions.
Grants are available up to the value of $3,000 and applications close August 6.

With over 131,900 Electricians currently employed in Australia, SWA has developed a new WHS profile to help illustrate the nature of risks they most frequently encounter while performing their duties.

New release from the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare: Sports injury in Australia and National sports injury data strategy updates
In 2021–22, about 56,000 sports injuries led to a hospital stay in Australia. This report describes hospitalisations, the sports being played when injured, and the types of injuries sustained. 10-year trends, sports participation and rates of injury are also discussed.
Seatbelts save lives campaign
Over the past five years, 20% of people who died in a crash on WA roads were not wearing a seatbelt.
In partnership with the Western Australia Police Force, Department of Fire and Emergency Services and St John WA, the Road Safety Commission has launched a new campaign that aims to raise awareness of the importance of wearing seatbelts.
