Rural Road Safety Month – September

Australian Road Safety Foundation’s Rural Road Safety Month campaign targets regional and rural road safety.  Deaths on rural roads accounted for almost two-thirds of the 2023 road toll, despite fewer than a third of Australia’s population residing outside major cities.

Highlighting that each road user is responsible to make safer choices on and off the road, this years’ campaign message asks individuals to “Help sow the seeds of change, road safety starts with you!”
