Tai Chi for Arthritis is a program designed by Dr Paul Lam and a team of medical specialists and tai chi experts. Based on the Sun style, Tai Chi for Arthritis is easy to learn, effective and safe. It is an evidence based program which works to prevent falls through improving balance, confidence and muscular strength in older adults.
About the training:
Tai Chi for Arthritis Part 1 training runs over 2 days (6 – 7 July 2018) and is comprehensive and practical. It consists of self-study and preparation, face to face learning, and ongoing support and resources. The focus is on training safe and effective Tai chi instructors for the community.
Tai Chi for Arthritis Part 2 teaches nine new movements and is suitable for those who have completed the original Tai Chi for Arthritis instructors program and are looking for a more challenging course. Completing this additional day on 8 July 2018 will provide the opportunity to consolidate and extend existing skills as an instructor. In order to complete Part 2, you need to have completed Part 1 and satisfy the certification requirements. NB : We are offering a discounted rate for doing both Part 1 and 2 in July
