Injury Matters launches the Remove Hazards 2025 campaign

Injury Matters has officially launched the three-month Stay On Your Feet® Remove Hazards campaign across Western Australia. Throughout March-May 2025, the Remove Hazards campaign encourages older adults to make their homes safer, check their eyesight, and wear safe footwear with simple changes to prevent falls and support healthy ageing.

What does the campaign have in store?

Health professionals can expect a series of Remove Hazards themed training opportunities on offer throughout the campaign as well. Visit the Injury Matters events calendar to keep up to date with trainings and webinars.

Older adults can look forward to a series of community events throughout the campaign, including the Remove Hazards Bingocise Events at Joondalup Library and Seville Grove Library and a Step Into Safety event at RAAFA Village in Erskine.

Don’t forget you can always book a free Stay On Your Feet® community presentation with one of our Peer Educators, too!

What are other organisations doing?

It’s not just Injury Matters raising awareness of falls prevention strategies during the campaign. Our successful Remove Hazards grant recipients and friends at the Men’s Shed WA, Nurse Next Door, Connect Vic Park and the City of Fremantle will also host some exciting Remove Hazards grant programs in the community over the next three months.

Are you still wondering how to get involved in the Remove Hazards campaign? Explore the Remove Hazards Toolkit for all the information, resources, tips and tricks you need to help raise awareness of falls prevention and healthy ageing strategies.

We strive to be culturally sensitive as we represent the Western Australian community in our imagery.
